Three months after his benefactor Asiwaju Bola Tinubu threw his hat into the race for the nations number one job,Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has finally declared his intention to run for president in 2023 .
Like Tinubu, he is also running on the ticket of the All Progressives Congress APC.
He disclosed this through a video posted on his social media pages on Monday morning.
Osinbajo in his words: “For the past seven (7) years, I have served as Vice President under a true Nigerian patriot, President Muhammadu Buhari.
Said he,”In these 7 years, while on the train of duty and service, I traversed every part of our country, meeting Nigerians of every cadre, class, tribe and walks of life, both young and old; I MET YOU.
I’ve stood where you stand and sat where you sit. I know and I understand our hopes, aspirations and fears from a place of relatable proximity; and I believe that in those hopes and aspirations are the seeds for the great Nigeria that we all desire.
He said further that, the reason why God has open him up to these experiences and opportunity is so that he can use it for Nigeria and it’s people.
He therefore solemnly and respectfully craved the support of Nigerians both home and abroad.
