A new Olowu of Owu may be selected Wednesday from among the twelve candidates earlier screened by the Otileta ruling house .

Letter from the kingmakers
An of Indication to this effect was revealed in a letter sent to one of the candidates selected by the ruling house,Prince Bakinson Adeyanju Kazeem.
In the letter signed by Chief R.I Akinsipo,the Akogun Owu,the Prince was invited to a meeting taking place at Owu Palace by 12 noon tomorrow Wednesday March 30.
It will be recalled that the ministry of local government has last month gave the kingmakers till March 15 to select a new Olowu designate and forward same to it for ratification.
As a result the five families that made the Otileta ruling house which turn it is to present another Olowu,screen the twelve candidates which applied.
It is not yet known how many of the candidates were invited by the kingmakers for tomorrow’s meeting.
It will be recalled that the Laara family ,one if the five families that made the Otileta ruling house had last week gone to court asking for an interim injunction to stop the ruling house from proceeding with the selection as it was excluded from presenting candidates for screening.
However,no date has yet been fixed by the court for hearing of the motion.
