Former Deputy Governor of Osun, Iyiola Omisore has indicated his interest to contest for the position of National Secretary of the All Progressive Congress.

The APC holds its national convention on March 26, 2022.
The position of the National Secretary has been zoned to the South-West part of the country.
Omisore said on Friday that he has submitted his forms to express his interest for the position.
Omisore had joined the APC after the election that brought in incumbent governor of Osun Gboyega Oyetola.
He had been in the Social Democratic Party,SDP, where he had decamped to from the Peoples Democratic Party.
In a short statement which he addressed to the media on Friday, the former Senator representing Osun East senatorial district boasted of his capacity to boost membership of the party and bring the needed changes to the party.
