…Says Nigeria needs a revolution to produce a new constitution
..NASS members lack what it takes to write an acceptable constitution

Dr. Olu Otubusin

By Tunde Abatan
A United States based Attorney, Dr. Olu Otubusin, has said that the forthcoming 2023 general elections would not lead the country anywhere.

According to him, the foundation of Nigeria as represented by the 1999 constitution is faulty and any election built on it would lead the country nowhere.

He told Newdawnngr in an exclusive interview that the present constitution being operated in the country is the source of our problems adding that the present exercise to amend the constitution by the national assembly will end in nullity.

Said he, “You cant amend or repair something whose foundation is faulty, you will be moving in circles”.
He canvassed for the writing of a brand new constitution to address the grievances in the land
Besides,Otubusin who is a one-time President of Egbe Omo Yoruba in the United States of America and Canada said that the legislators in the national assembly today cannot effect any meaningful change since they are products of a faulty system of which they have become one of the beneficiaries.

“As far as I am concerned, the present constitution we are operating is an illegal document and you can’t turn around an illegal document.” He declared.

He called on the Nigerian people to come together and evolve a revolution which will set up a people’s assembly to write a new constitution that will follow due process adding ” what the national assembly is doing now is just patching the illegal document which cannot endure no matter the level of patching.”

As a way out of the secessionist agitations all over the country, Otubushin is of the opinion that the people of Nigeria should be able to sit down and negotiate the terms of their existence.

“I can assure you that nobody wants to leave Nigeria because Nigeria is a good country but issues of Justice, Equality and equity has to be addressed to give everybody a sense of belonging.

“The election we are planning now is irrelevant to our needs as a people. The National assembly members are just there to serve their personal selfish interest and to be members of juicy committees and as such, we can’t expect anything good to come out from them.

“As a result, the nation will continue to move in circles because they can’t bequathe a system that will turn the country around.”

The eminent cause of the Nigerian problem is rooted in her fraudulent constitution in which fraudulent laws are derived causing an exodus of many to flee Nigeria and never to return. The outcome is brain drain and those cabals at the sit of power are deliberate and intentional in promoting laws and policies which will ensure perpetual dominance of the Nigerian system. Nigeria is a contraption of imaginary line drawn by the colonial British empire to serve the British economic interest. This contraption was not conceived for the purposes of nation building but rather for the economic exploitation, control of economic resources and the systematic enslavement of the indigenous people from that geographical expression called Nigeria. The slave laws were replaced with the Nigeria unitary system fraudulent constitution of 1999 which must be abolished. Those who are supporting 2023 election to move forward without restructuring, or a referendum or the abolishment of the fraudulent constitution are selfish, irresponsible, opportunistic, unpatriotic and lack the wisdom of nation building and hope for a better generation.Nigeria is failed country!

They don’t even have election in Nigeria, what they have is selection. The meaning of democracy is far away from typical Nigerian.what they have is demonstration of craziness.
