Dear Editor,
Please be advised that the names of candidates as listed in your article of March 4, 2022 is incomplete. The name of Barrister Kehinde Adebayo Somoye, the first candidate to submit his form, was not listed and either deliberately left off by your source. Kehinde A. Somoye, Esq. is a practicing attorney.
Exclusive: Contest for Olowu Abeokuta’s throne hots up
He is 61 years old and was a contestant for the Fed House of Rep (Accord Party), Abeokuta South at 2019 elections. The Somoye family is part of the Otopo Compound of the Otileta Ruling House.
It is quite surprising that you mentioned candidates who only indicated interest in the past week and left out the name of the very first candidate to submit his form to the Chairman of Otopo Compound, Chief Adediran, who is also the Chairman of the Otileta Ruling House.

It is important for journalists to be accurate and to verify the source of their information and to cease relying on biased sources.
Kindly retract and correct the published article immediately.
Thank you.

Correction. Chief Adediran is Chairman of Otopo and “Alakoso”of his Owu area. He is not the Chairman of Otileta. But his son Tunde is the Secretary of Otileta.
