An aide to the Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishalu, Hon. Levi Gbashi, has been killed by some gunmen in the state.
Information available showed that Gbashi was killed at the venue of a funeral ceremony in Ityopaa Village in Taraba State.
An eye witness Tortsua Naagh, while narrating what happened, said as they left the venue of the funeral, some gunmen had stopped the motorbike on which they were riding ordering them to come down.
Naagh said the refusal to comply further angered the gunmen who immediately opened fire on Gbashi three times killing him instantly.
He said the attacker was about shooting him too when his gun hooked giving him the opportunity to run away from the scene.
The police is yet to make confirmation of the incident.
Usman Abdulahi, spokesman of the Taraba command of the police said he was yet to be briefed.
