He was introduced in place of Ritchie Eguavoen, and barely seven minutes after, the substitution paid off with Azeez grabbing the headline with a well taken strike.
Azeez had received a pass from Moses Shodehinde in the 81st minute to fire into the back of the net. It was a game changing effort that ensured MFM picked their third win in 13 games.
Katsina United did little after conceding and the win takes MFM to 19th on the log with ten points. They will hope to take the momentum into their next game against Enyimba away from home.
Katsina United meanwhile dropped to 17th with 13 points and up next for them is a game at home against Heartland.
