Danbani would have made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute but directed the ball over the bar after meeting Abdulafeez Musa’s beautiful pass.
The 2nd half restarted with Enyimba pegging Kwara United to their area, forcing their hosts to defend heavily before they again wrestled possession away from the visitors.
Enyimba Sadiq Abubakar hit the woodwork in the 58th minute in one of the fewer chances created by the visitors but Finidi George’s decision to introduce Cyril Olisema in place of Austin Oladapo gave Kwara United control of the game.
