The Ogun State Police command has declared total clampdon on money ritual merchants in the state.
As a result it said it is on the trail of Facebook money ritual merchants who operate from the state.
This is coming on the heels of the arrest of four boys aged between 17-20 who lured a girl and killed her for money ritual.
The hunt, according to Abimbola Oyeyemi, spokesman of the command, became necessary after one of the suspects in the murder of 20 year old Kehinde Sofiat confessed that he first learnt of techniquest for money rituals through a Facebook page.

The suspect, Mustaqeen, had told the police, “I saw a post on Facebook that explained how to get rich quickly. I downloaded the video because I had interest in getting wealthy at an early stage. I wanted to get rich and lead a luxurious life. The video was what prompted me to tell Soliu about getting rich quickly at our early age. He was interested after I showed him the video on my phone and asked where we would get the materials we needed.”

Soliu Majekodunmi, 18; Wariz Oladehinde, 18; Abdulgafar Lukman, 19; and Balogun Mustaqeem, 20 were all arrested over the killing and burning of the severed head of Sofiat Kehinde in a suburb of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

Oyeyemi said the command is already making efforts to get the social media users who advertise their money rituals on the social media.
