Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has stated reasons why Nigerians should support him as he seeks the Presidential seat in 2023.
He disclosed this on Monday morning during the breakfast show on ARISE TV monitored by NPO Reports.
Former Senate President, Anyim Piyus has said once elected has the next president of Nigeria, he will be at the interest of the people.
“My commitment is to be sure that I will do the will of Nigerians. I will bring stability back to the country.
He stated that during his tenure has the senate president he worked with the former president of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to achieve what Nigerians are missing today and with the power of the people voting him in, he will ensure stability comes back to the country.
“My records as President of the Senate and as Secretary to the Government of the Federation clearly show that I am more interested in building strong institutions than seeking enhancement of personal power or position. My records show effective and efficient management of the nation’s diversity on the basis of equity, justice, fairness and inclusiveness.”
He stated that he will do better as Nigeria President.
“I will take into consideration the basic needs of the people, get collective will of the people to make Nigeria great again.”
“I am considering making myself acceptable to every part of the country because I want to be the president of Nigeria.”
Anyim also talked about the issue of equity, fairness and justice in the country.
He said: ” The issue of equity, fairness, Justice is a fundamental issue. Our constitution is clear of this. It is also in the chapter 2 of the constitution and also subsection (2) which also talked about federal character using fairness and equity.
“Every aspect of Nigeria must reflect federal character”
He emphasised on what Nigerians should be concern about challenges facing the country.

“I don’t really have any challenges but I believe the only challenges we have is the leadership power. Once we have good leaders they won’t be any challenges facing the country anymore.”
He concluded by saying Nigerians should trust him as the president because he will do the will of the people.
