The spate of insecurity in the country reared its head again on Tuesday as the mother of the Chief of Staff to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, was kidnapped.
The woman, Mrs. Seriya Raji, was said to have been abducted from her residence and taken to an unknown destination from Nagazi community in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Her son, who is the chief of staff to the governor, Abdulkarim Jamiu Asuku is yet to make any official statement as at the time of filing this report.
It was gathered that neighbours of the Chief of Staff’s mother had raised the alarm after the gunmen, said to be numbering about six, made their way through the mosque to get to her.
They were said to have been dressed in black suits and with facemasks.
