Reports reaching the NPO Reports indicate that there is mayhem in the Ojodu area of Lagos after a truck overran some students of the Babs Fafunwa Millenium School, killing some of them.

As at the time of filing this report, it could not be ascertained the number of students allegedly killed by the driver who is said to be at large.

Many students who were injured were said to have been taken to hospitals for treatment.

While an account said up to 15 students were crushed to death instantly, another said he said about 8 students who had died.

The tragedy immediately sparked off violence as students of the school trooped out in protests against the killing.

A shop owner opposite the Federal Road Safety Corps office, Ojodu, told the NPO Reports that some hoodlums were taking advantage of the situation to loot shops.

“They are looting. Some of the students and other hoodlums are taking the advantage to look=t. We have closed our shop. Even the policemen are helpless,” the shop owner said.

A police station is located next to the fence of the school where the truck killed the students.

The protesters were seen destroying one of the sheds used by the policemen to control traffic at the Grammar School Bus Stop in the area.
