…Appoints 18 new professors,20 associate professors and 26 Senior lecturers and 200 non academic staff
The Governing Council of the Lagos state University,LASU has approved the promotion of 264 staff made up of academic and non academic staff.
This was contained in the schedule released after it’s 129 statutory board meeting in Lagos November 18th,2021.
Out of the lot,18 Associate Professors were elevated to the rank of full Professors while 20 senior lecturers were appointed associate Professors.
Twenty six others were promoted to lecturers 1 and 2 respectuvely.
Among those appointed as full professor from Associate professor is professor Oladele Ezekiel Adeoti, former head of the Department of History and International Studies.

Also promoted were 200 others in the non academic staff of the institution.
The promotion exercise was approved at its 129 statutory board meeting held in Lagos on November 18,2021.
This is the single biggest promotion exercise held by the school since it’s establishment in 1980 by the administration of Late Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande,the first civilian governor of the state.
