Air Peace flight P47159 from Owerri to Lagos was forced to divert Monday just few minutes after take off due to a bird strike.
According to a statement by the airlines management,this incident seriously affected the parameters of one of the engines .
The statement said that as a result,the Pilot in command had to divert to Port-Harcourt and safely landed the aircraft while the passengers disembarked.
The airline said it had since dispatched a rescue team and aircraft to airlift the passengers of the affected flight adding,”Air Peace is committed to the highest standards of safety and will never compromise on this”.
