Nigeria’s most influential Fashion brand, Pan African Music Fashion Runway (MFR) and Game Changer African Acknowledgement #CGAA will hold its 7th edition at Wheatbaker, Lagos, 4th December.
The theme for this year’s MFR is “Renaissance: New beginning, bridging the International Divide”
Speaking at a Press briefing in Lagos, the Managing Director/CEO, NMO, Management Limited, Ngozi Omambala
said the event will be held virtually and physically with strictly followed stipulated health protocols.
“Our priority is to produce a safe environment, a first class event of live music excellence, whilst showcasing Pan African fashion, established designers and international runway models.
The Game Changer Africa Acknowledgement, Omambala stated is an Award platform program whereby MFR will honour trailblazers and pioneers by recognising their significant contribution in the creative industry.
The event will be streamed Live via social media – as was last year’s successful event – which opened the pioneering music and fashion platform to a global audience.
MFR also unveiled for the first time in history two Ambassadors, they’re Kemi Amusan and Nelson Oghenekewe who are veterans of the international runway circuit
“Both have risen to walk international runways to high acclaim and are winners of MFR Model of year award 2020” she said
In its quest to support breakthrough talents, Omambala said MFR will feature Golden Break Through Auditions Model Search which is a youth empowerment and social responsibility talent hunt initiative. “Two upcoming models will be given a once in a lifetime opportunity to kick-start their modeling careers walking the MFR 2021 catwalk” she revealed.
Past recipients of the Game Changer Africa Acknowledgement Awards include Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Kunle Afolayan, Lanre Da Silva, late Wale Aborderin, Guy Murray-Bruce, Helen Prest Ajayi, Ade Bakare and Maki OH.
