…Says only God can say whether there’ll be elections
..Prays for families of victims of 21-storey building collapse
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God,Pastor Enoch Adeboye has counselled politicians over their ambition during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking Sunday at the Throne of Grace, National headquarters of the Church he admonished those already in the frenzy of contesting one post or the other to seek the face of God saying “they don’t know whether 2023 elections will be or not.”
Delivering the message with the topic,Great Expectations,he said that only God knows whether or not there will be Nigeria or elections that year.
Said he,”It is God alone who knew whether there will be elections or whether there will be Nigeria in 2023. I pray there will be Nigeria then”.
Quoting from the book of 2Chr 26:3-23 he said only God alone can give power as “Power corrupt and absolute power corrupt absolutely.
He drew example from the life of King Saul who wanted to become popular and began to disobey God because of his ambition adding”all power belongs to God,he raises up one and he brings down another.(I Sam 15:2-31)
Pastor Adeboye counseled believers to always surrender all what they wanted to do to do that,”they may knew him and the power of his resurrection”(Phil 3:6-11)
On the collapse of the 21-storey building,he prayed for the family of those who lost their lives and urged Nigerians to pray for such incidence not to occur again in the country.
