Indications are rife that the Oyo jail break attack must have been planned and executed by both bandits and suspects being held in the Correctional facility located in Abolongo area of Oyo, the Oyo State ancient city.
Sources said that all inmates were forcefully ordered to leave the centre by the attackers.
It was gathered that those who were reluctant to take the advantage of the jail attack were even threatened.
A source said that apart from terrorism, officials of the correctional centre are suspecting that the attack may have been carried out to free some suspects who were being held at the centre over an attack on two banks in the Okeho, Oyo North area of the state.
Yet other sources revealed that the intention is to free some high profile bandits and hoodlums being detained by the authorities in order to abort their trial.
