…Says Dep Gov defection has no impact on the election

National chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance,APGA,Chief Victor Oye has said that the defection of the deputy governor of the state,Nkem Okeke to the opposition All Progressive Congress,APC will not in any way affect the fortune of the party in next months governorship elections in the state.
He said this on a day the Inspector General of Police said,Alkali Baba said 34,000 police men will be deployed for the elections.
Speaking in an interview with Channels Television Thursday,he said that there is no crisis in the party in the state but individuals who are pursuing their ambition.
According to him, APGA remains the party to beat in Anambra as a party of the people.
In the Channels Television-Politics Today interview, Chief Oye said that only four out of 24 members of the members of the state house of assembly have left the party adding that they are free to return.
He said that Governor Willie Obiano has worked more than any governor to retain the state with his performance .
“Till date,the state is not owing any salary, pensions,gratuity and other entitlements are being paid as and at when due”he declared.
On the deputy governor,he said that he has represented the governor on more than seventy percent of events in the state since he came i to power adding,” for me Gover or Obiano is a very accommodating, generous leader such that he practically funded the burial of the father of the state governor some years ago an issue the deputy confirmed himself”.
As for him,there is no crisis in the APGA in the state alluding that those who left are doing so for their personal reasons.
