There was mayhem in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State on Wednesday as angry residents set ablaze the homes of a traditional ruler and a serving commissioner.

The Residents invaded homes of Sokoto State Commissioner of Security, a former military officer, Col. Garba Moyi and a traditional leader, Sarkin Gobir na Isa, Alh. Nasiru Ahmad over allegations of shielding armed bandits.
As at the time filing this report, the police was yet to make a statement over the development.
In the home of the traditional ruler, cars were vandalized while a section of the house was touched.
Sokoto too has witnessed series of kidnapping in recent times.
NPO Reports that the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar said last month that in one day, about 70 bodies were buried in his domain.
