….Beat him, his wife mercilessly, empty his bank accounts
Emerging report indicates that an Aide to the Minister of Interior and former Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has escaped death narrowly, after heavily armed men attacked his home, and beat him and his wife up mercilessly.
The Minister’s Aide, Abosede Oluwaseun, who is a staunch member of The Osun Progressives, TOP, while narrating his ordeal, explained that his house at Dada Estate area of Osogbo, the Osun State capital, was besieged by the armed men.
Oluwaseun stated that the men gained access to the compound by scaling the fence, and entered through the kitchen door, as his wife was about to close it.
He stated that the assailants threatened to kill him, and both himself and his wife were tied up and mercilessly beaten with a machete.
During the ordeal, the Aide stated that the security features on his phone were deactivated, and all the money in his accounts transferred to that of his wife, whose ATM Card had earlier been collected.
After the operation, he explained that the armed men left with his Toyota Camry.
Confirming the incident, the Osun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, stated that she is aware of the attack, adding that, it was reported to the Dada Estate Police Station.
She assured that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the assailants.
