Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Samson Olasupo Ayokunle and governors on Thursday lamented the growing insecurity in the country.
They spoke at the third quarterly meeting of the Nigerian Inter-religious Council which held in Abuja on Thursday.
At the meeting also was the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
While the Sultan of Sokoto queried the meaning of “unknown Gunmen”, he said there is poor intelligence gathering.
The CAN chairman also said the killing of 35 persons in Plateau on Wednesday appeared like a reprisal attack.
The Sultan said “Unknown Gunmen invade people’s homes. Why are they unknown? Don’t we have intelligence again?”
