Insecurity: ENSG evacuates indigenes studying in Jos University

Enugu state government says it has evacuated 135 indigenes if the state studying at the University of Jos.
This was confirmed by Chidi Ilogebe, Special Adviser on Students Affairs to Enugu State Governor.

Ilogebe disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Enugu.

He said that the gesture by the state government became necessary following the recent violent crisis that erupted in Jos.

The special adviser said that the students were evacuated from Jos on Aug. 22, and had gone back to their respective homes and other destinations.

He said that 37 of the students returned to Enugu and 28 were conveyed to Abuja to join their families.

He said that the rest were taken to their various homes within Plateau and its environs based on their requests.
