…Police denies kidnap
A Chief Imam in Ijebu Ode, Alhaji Mushafau Bakare, who was allegedly kidnapped by unknown persons has been found dead in his car.
Alhaji Bakare, the Chief Imam of Atiba area of Ijebu Ode, was said to have been kidnapped late Wednesday night by some gunmen.
Today, he was reportedly found in his car, Toyota Highlander which he was said to have bought recently.
He was found in his car around Odogbolu, where policemen discovered a man who was lifeless in the car before contacting Ijebu Ode to ascertain his identity.
A resident of Atiba who witnessed the burial Thursday at about 10am said it was all tears after friends and associates and clerics gathered to commit his remains to the earth.

However, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun state police Command’s spokesman,said the chief must have died of natural causes and not victim of kidnap as earlier reported by some news medium.
