The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto has banned graduating sign out and night clubbing within and outside the university.
This was disclosed in a circular released on Friday, 6th August 2021 through the office of the School Registrar, N.A Belko.
According to the circular, the management said that information had reached them that some students are planning to organise campus clubbing nights and graduating sign out both within and outside the university. And because of this, the management calls on the students to throw away the ‘plan’ as it’s against the values and regulations of the university.
The circular reads thus: ” This is to inform all students that information has reached the University Management that there is a plan by some students to first, organise a campus clubbing night and second, do a graduating sign out both within and outside the university.
“Based on this, the University Management calls on all students to keep away from the planned clubbing and signing out which are against the values and regulations of the University.
“Again, students should note that the planned campus clubbing and signing out both within and outside the University campuses are hereby prohibited. Therefore, students should, in their Interest, desist from the acts and remain law-abiding
“However, students are at liberty to produce, in consultation with their Provost/Dean/HOD/HOU, a Photo album for their class.
“Finally, students should remember that UDUS degrees are awarded to only those found worthy in character and learning”, the circular added.
