Aba,the capital of Abia state and biggest commercial nerve centre of the South East after Onitsha, was completely deserted Monday morning in obedience to the sit at home order imposed by the Indigenous People’s of Biafra (IPOB).
IPOB had earlier on Sunday said it called off the order but later sent out warnings to residents to stay at home.
In spite of assurances by the security agencies, most streets have been deserted as observed by our correspondent Monday morning.
On the spot video reports by the British Broadcasting Corporation shows the streets were virtually empty of vehicles while shops were locked in total compliance to the sit at home order of IPOB.
