NANS appoints popular journalist S.A on Diaspora matters.

The president of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Sunday Adedayo Asefon, has approved the appointment of Comrade Abiodun Olofe as the Special Adviser to the president on Diaspora Matters.

In a statement personally signed by the president and made available to pressmen in Abuja, the appointment takes immediate effect with term of reference to be communicated appropriately.

Asefon stated that the appointment of the diaspora student’s leader was to support the leadership of the Association towards delivering on its mandates to Nigerian students.

The statement further noted that Comrade Olofe was a media guru with many years of journalistic experience stressing that he would be able to adequately coordinate the activities of the Nigerian students living outside the country to appropriately aggregate their interest from time to time especially on matters of national and international concerns.

The NANS president charged the appointee to use his wealth of experience as a one time national president of Federation of Ado Ekiti Student’s Union and Chairman NUJ, Ekiti state information chapel to deliver on his mandate.
