Matogbun/OkeAro road story: Readers’ comment

This is a very good publication to be taken to Ogun state government.

In view of the recent rumors concerning the Ifo local government Chairman, I want to suggest that we invite honorable Fola Hassain to ask him of his government plans for the Oke-Aro Matogbun road. The local government election is on its way and the general election is two years away. We need to have commitment of whoever is asking for our votes in these communities.

Oke-Aro /Matogbun Road:Another open sore in a state of untaped potentials

I have committed so much of my time and resources promoting the the Progressive government in Ogun state and at the federal level and I am already having a rethink but first and foremost, let us confront the chairman with a powerful protest letter to the state government and wait for their reaction before we know what next lines of actions we are going to toll in the coming elections.

Commuters,  motorists groan as road collapses in Ogun State

I am very sure Dr. Dapo Abiodun will not underrate our collective political strength in these communities. The Governor is a person with listening ears but those that are supposed to defend our interests at the state level on Matogbun Oke-Aro road are misleading our governors.

However, I know we can approach him on the community basis and ventilate our chagrin as far as infrastructureal deficit is concerned in the community.A community
of about 3 million populations deserves to have good roads, general hospital, police stations and more government schools but all these are either not available or in their very short supply in the communities. Even the available government schools can no longer cater for up to 10% of the needs of the population in the areas.

My advice is that we should be more emphatic and consistent in our voicing out to the Ifo Local and the state government before the general elections so that we won’t fall for another empty promises that will not materialize after the elections must have been won.

Finally, I thank Engr. Tanimowo and all others promoting our road for government’s attention. May God penetrate their minds.

Matogbun Oke-Aro communities deserves dividends of democracy all these years of democracy. We have been following the Progressive Parties for the past 20 years in all these communities and records of the previous elections’ results are there for confirmation.

It is a major road that can open up the economic activities of Lagos and Ogun state

This is highly commendable.
May God touch the heart of the government in respect of this road.
