…Says FG must be cautious
Former Director General of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs,NIIA,Professor Bola Akintwhinwa has advised the Federal government to thread carefully on the moves to extradite,Yoruba activist,Sunday Igboho from Republic of Benin.
In an interview on Television Continental,he said that since Republic of Benin is a franchophone country that has respect for rule of law,it is better for the federal government which has disdain for law to use the same attitude on international level.
Besides,Professor Akintehinwa said that since Igboho is representing the minds of Yoruba people a major constituent in Nigeria it is not going to be easy for it to arm twist process and judgement in the case of Igboho.
Professor Akintehinwa said the trial of the activist is going to be interesting adding that the whole world is watching events in Benin republic and how the federal government handles it.
