….Amotekun commander at Igbo ora killed Friday evening
There are indications that Igangan, in Ibarapa area of Oyo State came under another round of attacks by some gunmen Friday evening.
A source from the town told the NPO Reports that at about 5pm, sounds of gun shots rent the air forcing many residents to scamper for safety.
“We were hearing gun shots towards the outskirts of the town,” the source said initially.
However, the source said by the time local vigilante men arrived the area, it was discovered that some people had been shot.
While the source could not immediately confirm the number of people killed, he said those who had been wounded were being evacuated to a hospital in Igboora.
The source said attempts had been made to reach the Divisional Police station in Lanlate while also making efforts to get across to the state command of the Police.
Already, the source said some local vigilante men had entered the nearby forests to comb the place for possible arrest of culprits.
However, there are unconfirmed reports that the Amotekun Commander in Igbo Ora,name withheld, has been killed by the Fulani herdsmen dressed in military Uniform.
It will be recalled that Governor Seyi Makindes at the constitution of an enhanced security outfit last month promised to do all he could to protect lives and properties in the state.
