Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Friday at the funeral service of the late legendary televangelist, TB Joshua, confessed that the late clergyman gave him some money when he won the governorship election in Ondo State, but failed to tell the congregation at the interment service whether it was after the 2016 or 2020 elections. According to the governor, he said TB Joshua drove personally to Akure on the day to wish him well and also pray. Akeredolu told the tens of thousands of mourners who attended the interment service for the late televangelist, that when TB Joshua was leaving after visiting him, that he dropped some money in his pocket, which he said he will not disclosed the amount.

The governor described the preacher as someone who positively impacted many people with his philanthropic gestures as well as spiritually. Akeredolu was among dignitaries and T.B Joshua’s followers that stormed the SCOAN premises for the interment service which was the culmination of a week-long funeral rites.
Many of his followers across the globe also came to pay their last respects to the charismatic clergyman who died at 57.
