Osun governorship election holds July 16,2022-INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed Saturday, July 16, next year for the governorship poll in Osun State.

INEC in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Commission in Osun state, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, outlined the dates and events that would lead to the proper election scheduled to hold 16 July 2022.

It stated that the collection of forms by all political parties will begin on 16th February, while the primary election will kick off on 16th February to 12th of March.

It also noted that the submission of forms by all political parties will start at 9 am on 14th March and end at 6 pm on 18th March.

Giving room for all political parties who have the option of replacing or withdrawing their candidates, it said that “for any withdrawal or replacement of candidates by political parties, it will start on 8th of April.”

According to the statement, the “last day for the submission of nomination forms by political parties will start on 16th April”.

It also added that campaigns in the state by all registered political parties will start on the 17th of April till the 14th of July.
