Rev. Polycarp Zongo, a pastor at COCIN Wild Life Park Jos, Plateau State, has regained freedom seven months after he was kidnapped by suspected Islamic State militants in Gombe State.
The cleric was released alongside several humanitarian workers and civilians on Monday in Maiduguri, Borno State.
But on Tuesday, Rev. Zongo narrated his experience with the kidnappers during a prayer session held at the COCIN RCC Garki, Abuja.
He was said to be kidnapped on October 19, 2020.
However, it was not clear whether any ransom was paid to secure his release.
Meanwhile, as of the time of filing this report, the police spokesperson in the state has not issued any official statement.
