Four policemen killed as over 35 robbers storm Osun banks

At least, four policemen have been confirmed dead after over 35 armed robbers stormed Ikire town in Osun State Wednesday evening.

The officers whose names have been given by Yemisi Opatola, command spokesman as ASP Osho Oluranti, Inspector Lekan Olalere, Special Constable Oladeni Olalekan and Special Constable Oyedeji Muyideen were shot dead at the scenes.

The robbers came armed with explosives which used to attack the police station with a view to demobilizing the police not foil the attacks on two banks in Ikire and Apomu.
