In what looked like a condemnation of content violation,Twitter has deleted President Muhammadu Buhari’s civil war tweets where he spoke of using his civil war experience to deal with arsonists, secessionists bent on destroying Nigeria through insurrection.
Buhari had in a series of tweets Tuesday, said “Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.”
Following series of reactions that trailed the tweets on the microblogging platform, Twitter on Wednesday, deleted the tweets.
“This tweet no longer available,” Twitter said.
This is the same thing that happened to his junior labour minister, Festus Keyamo, who revealed his private conversation with Eedris Abdulkareem, when he was responding to Eedris’ allegation that he (Keyamo), has joined the cabal.
Meanwhile, the People’s Democratic Party PDP has commended Twitter’s decision.
“Beyond deleting the genocidal President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet, Jack ought to ban President Buhari’s account the same way he banned Donald Trump’s,” PDP said.
