Traffic snarl along the Lekki Ajah road has been was compounded Monday afternoon as an overspeeding bus carrying bottled water has crashed at Ikota in front of Oando petrol station, in Lagos.
It was unclear whether the accident claims lives but it was gathered that all the bottled water the bus was carrying have been evacuated from the bus, as it was seriously damaged.
Operatives of the Lekki Concession Company, LCC, and security officers from the Ajiwe Police Division are on ground for recovery.
The incident also has added to the traffic tailback inward VGC.
This unfortunate incident is coming after the Federal Road Safety Corps has called on drivers to avoid overspeeding as a measure to avoid road crashes.
The Lagos State Sector Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide, had urged everyone to enforce the national speed limit of 30 kilometers per hour.
