The Akwa Ibom Job-seeker, Iniubong Umoren, who was defiled and killed by a fake job interviewer, has been buried.
She was buried on Friday at her hometown, Nung Ita, Ikot Essien in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
Iniubong Umoren, who was an orphan at two, had sponsored herself through school and graduated as one of the best students in the Department of Philosophy, University of Uyo, Uyo with a GPA of 4.12.
The suspect, Uduak Akpan, reportedly defiled and killed her in April while posing as a fake job interviewer in the state capital, Uyo.
Her burial was conducted by a local congregation of Faith Tabernacle Church.
The pastor who delivered the sermon said “It is written that a man will die but woe unto him that caused the death.”
The Akwa Ibom House of Assembly member representing Oruk Anam State Constituency, Udo Kieran, and the Chairman of the local government council, Kingsley Akpan, were among the dignitaries who attended the burial.
