Heavily armed men have launched attack on soldiers and policemen at a checkpoint in Rivers state.
The attack took place on Saturday night, witnesses told Irohinoodua.

“The armed men killed the security men. It was a case of ambush. It was a bloody night” a source told our correspondent.
The incidence took place along Owerri-Port Harcourt road in the Ikwerre area where the State Governor, Nyeson Wike hails from.
As at press time there were no reports about police investigations on who carried out the attacks. A police source however told our correspondent that investigations have been launched by security operatives to arrest the perpetrators.
