President General of Ohaneze,an Ndigbo socio cultural organisation, Professor George Obiozor,has said that the his body is yet to take it’s stand on the issue.
Speaking in a telephone interview with Newdawnngr.com, the former Director General of the Nigeria Institute of International Affairs,NIIA,said that for now he would not make any comment.
Said he,”I have no comment for now. I will talk later but not now. when I am ready you will hear from me”.
It will be recalled that the United Kingdom early this week decided to grant asylum to those it said were deemed to have been persecuted as a result of their believe since the issue is a violation of their fundamental human rights under the United Nations law.
The federal government of Nigeria has of recent clamped down on the activities of the Independent Peoples of Biafra,IPOB and Movement for the Actualisation of the state of Biafra.
The two groups are also been acussed of being responsible for security breaches in the South East states especially the Nnamdi KANU led Eastern Security Network,ESN.
