Strong indications emerged this afternoon that the former Speaker of House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole has concluded plans to join the decampment train to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from his party the Action Democratic Party(ADP).
Sources revealed that Bankole met with two governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in his bid to join the party.
Bankole, Friday in Abuja, met with the Yobe state governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Committee, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, in company of Jigawa state governor Abubakar Badaru.
Bankole is a member of the opposition Action Democratic Party (ADP).
Confirming the development through a statement signed by Buni’s Director General of Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, he said, “the three leaders discussed on a wide range of political issues including the movement of the former Speaker and his supporters into the party.”
