Warri Wolves secured a 1-0 win against Plateau United on Matchday 8, a result that may have proved bookmakers wrong on MarchDay 8 punters for the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League, (NPFL)
Efe Yarhere was at the right place at the right time in the 71st minutes to pounce on a ball that rebounded off Plateau United goalkeeper, Chinedu Anozie to put Warri Wolves in the lead.
The two sides were very wasteful in front of goal, as they could not convert their chances in either sides of halftime.
The win was Warri Wolves’ first victory after they had gone on a three-match losing streak.
The Seasiders were beaten on Matchday 8 in Uyo by Dakkada FC following a draw at home in the previous matchday.
