Six days after the presidential election that saw incumbent President Youweri Museveni returned for a sixth term,Uganda opposition candidate, Bobi Wine has lamented his continued house arrest by the country’s security agencies .
This is the sixth day that the house of the musician turned-lawmaker is witnessing military presence.
Bobi Wine took to his Twitter page, saying they remained stucked in the house with his guests, and have run out of food supplies as well.
“Day Six under house arrest and we’re still stuck with an 18 months old baby who had paid a visit to her auntie (my wife ) be4 we were raided & besieged. The Dad has been denied access to her. We have run out of food and milk. No one is allowed to leave or come into our compound,” he tweeted.
It will be recalled that President Yoweri Museveni has been declared winner of the January 15 poll. Bobi Wine won 38 percent of the polll while the president secured 58 percent to secure another five-year term.
