Moyo Thomas, the embattled ex banker wife of another banker, Tunde Thomas, has denied ever telling her former husband he is not the biological father of his children adding the public is being fed with tissues of lies .
Said she, “On no occasion did I ever tell him he was not the father of our two children. It is therefore deliberate falsehood and certainly malicious to allege and insinuate that I informed him that the children are not his. The children still bear his name. Only God knows why he died in an untimely period. It is not in my place, or anyone’s place to play God and talk with certainty as to the cause of his death, without proven medical facts.”
According to the lady at the centre of the sex scandal around Adam Nuru, the erstwhile Managing Director of the First City Monument Bank (FCMB), who has since stepped aside to allow for further investigation by the banks board said to have fathered her two children whilst still married to her husband, Tunde Thomas.
The late Thomas, a fellow banker, was said to have died of heartbreak when the estranged wife relocated to the US after their separation and informed him from there that he was not the father of the two children born when they were still together.

A group, Justice for Tunde Thomas, which blew the case open, while collecting signatures with which to launch a protest to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to demand that the bank boss be sacked from his job for what is seen as unacceptable in the industry.
The group claimed that the shocking news of the affair made the deceased develop stroke, after the wife eloped to the US with the two children, whom he had nurtured as his, from where she also informed him that he was not their father.
After the relocation of his wife to the US where she was said to have sought and obtained asylum status, over domestic violence, Tunde was said to have moved on with his life, by marrying another woman, who became pregnant for him, only for death to come knocking through heart attack, apparently induced by the thought of the previous incident, before he could seal the marriage in a traditional way.
Following the outcry by Nigerians, who at the last count had garnered about 400 signatures, with a demand by the CBN to act against the alleged illicit act, the bank said it had begun its own investigation to get to the root of the matter.
But Moyo, who had hitherto, made her case through some of her friends, has now come out to personally address the issue, denying ever informing her husband that he was not the father of the children.
However, the statement, appeared not to be categorical about the paternity of the children, as it ostensibly carefully sidelined the FCMB boss’ angle of the story, while not stating categorically that the late husband was the real father of the children outside of them bearing his name.
She wrote: “I write in reference to all the allegations and accusations that have recently been making the rounds on the internet and various social media platforms. I have refrained from responding to this matter for various reasons, one of which is to preserve the memories of Tunde who departed to be with his maker on December 16, 2020. Memories, not only to me, but to his children, who are still young, and to everybody who had a relationship with him.
“Just like any marriage, Tunde and I had a lot of differences in our marriage, some of which even led to police intervention. But I remain committed to keeping only positive memories of him. No one can ever understand what transpired between us or what each of us experienced in the marriage; like they say, it is he who wears the shoes that knows where it pinches. In all of it, I never for once wished him bad. His untimely and sudden death is still a shock to me as it is to many others.

“Despite our separation, we never allowed our differences affect the relationships we respectively have with the children. He still had conversations with the children like any father will, up until his sudden and unfortunate death. It is quite sad and disheartening to see the pictures of these innocent children splashed all over the internet with very disparaging and weird comments.
“I do wish his family and friends the fortitude to bear the unfortunate loss and I ask that we all be allowed to grieve his loss in peace. He has now been laid to rest and we implore all and sundry to please respect our privacy and allow those grieving his loss, including the children and I, to do so in peace.”.
