…May be sanctioned by CBN

If the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) bows to the pressure by a group of Nigerians intent on seeking vengeance, then the job of a Managing Director of one of Nigeria’s A-list banks would be on the line, as part of punishment for allowing the excesses of his manhood, get the better part of him.

In a developing story, currently going viral in the media, the aggrieved group is already collecting signatures from concerned Nigerians, with which they are seeking the apex bank’s intervention to punish the highly regarded bank boss, who they seem to blame for vicariously causing the death of one Tunde Thomas, said to have died a few days ago.

The late Thomas, was said to have become heartbroken when the wife eloped to the US from where she reportedly informed him that their union was over and the two children the marriage was believed to have produced, were not his, a situation that apparently affected his health, leading to his eventual death.

In fact, he was said to have been struck with a stroke on learning of the sad news, particularly the involvement of the said MD as the father of the children, a condition he battled for a long while before recovering and thereafter, began to pick the bits and pieces of his life, including commencing a fresh relationship before he died.

It is this outcome that has led the group, under the aegis of Justice For Tunde Thomas, to begin the campaign, which is already gathering momentum to force the CBN to apply sanctions on the bank MD, for the indecent bahaviour, which they are insisting must not be overlooked.

The group confirmed that after the wife of the deceased broke the news, “Tunde was later down with stroke but recovered. Apparently, Tunde met someone else he was going to remarry but apparently didn’t recover from the first Marriage issues. Tunde was just made director for the MFB (Micro Finance Bank), he works for. Got back from work last week and had a cardiac arrest 2 days before introduction to pregnant new girlfriend.

“This is a case of gross misconduct based on ethical grounds and an unjustifiable economic oppression by the elites against the less privileged in the society. The MD has been doing everything possible to sweep this case under the carpet. We implore the Central Bank of Nigeria as the apex regulator and the board of (the bank) to investigate this for the integrity of the bank and Nigerian banking industry. This is a case too many , while I agree that this is not the full story , the minimum will be an investigation into this unethical conduct by the current MD.”
