…Terrorist group allegedly kills one farmer weekend
More than 300 local hunters and vigilantes in Awowo ward of Ewekoro local government in Ogun State are now scattered into forests and hideouts in the area searching for some hoodlums believed to be cells of the dreaded Boko Haram from the northern part of the country.
The intensive search becomes necessary as the seeming dangerous people had unleashed terror in the vicinity since weekend as they kidnapped a local farmer and killed his staff in Awowo.
As the tongue wagged in bewilderment on the incidence, the ruffians entered the ancient town of Akinale and ransacked a popular restaurant on the Lagos- Abeokuta road in Akinale and carted away both cooked and uncooked foodstuff, assorted drinks and other valuables.
A large team of Police lead by the Divisional Police Officer in Ewekoro joined hands with the local hunters in search of the hoodlums who remain hidden in various hideouts in the forest.
Meanwhile, the traditional rulers in the area have summoned emergency meeting with the chairman of Ewekoro local government and the divisional police station to know the way forward for security and safety of the people in the area.
