In this weekend’s edition of the Globacom-sponsored African Voices Changemakers on CNN, two artistes who normally operate behind the camera will be in the limelight as guests on the 30-minute magazine programme.

The guests who are still photographers are Carlos Idun-Tawiah of Ghana and Brian Otieno, a Kenyan.

Idun-Tawiah, who attended the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Accra, Ghana, is regarded as one of the best in his trade and is projecting his country positively. He is currently the Lead Partner at Lightning Pathways Company, an umbrella body of talented photographers.

He recently received a vote of confidence from luxury brand, Mercedes-Benz, which chose him and four other  top designers to showcase Ghana’s emerging talent and tradition of sharing skills from one generation to the next through unique story-telling skills.

The second guest Otieno, also known as Brian Jaybee, is a freelance photojournalist and documentary photographer in Kenya where he highlights important social issues such as female genital mutilation.

The 27-year-old  is also a photography correspondent in the Coastal Region of Kenya with  The Star, one of that country’s most well-respected news magazines from Kenya where he is  described as ‘’a reporter with an eye for the unique.’’
