The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai on Monday lamented that all governors are frustrated over the state of security across the country.
El-Rufai lamented during an interview on Politics Today of Channels Television.
He said the governors have no control over security in their states, lamenting that they are Chief Security Officers for nothing.
According to him, the solution of tackling insecurity does not lie with President Muhammdu Buhari alone.
El-Rufai said: “I don’t think the solution lies with President Buhari alone. It is not a matter of being a call away from President Muhammadu Buhari.”
About lives that have been lost to attacks, he said: “It is quite unfortunate that these lives were lost. As the government has always said, people should not take laws into their hands. When there is a breach of the law, the appropriate thing is to report to the authorities.”
