Oba Ogunleye being tested for COVID-19
Towulade Akinale, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, led residents of Akinale and its environs to test ground provided by the Ogun State health officials from Ewekoro local government to be tested for COVID.19 pandemic.
It was leadership by example as the Kabiyesi disabused the fear of his subjects that the test might lead to their incarceration which would prevent them from celebrating Christmas and New Year in their houses.
According to the health officials, even if any of them had a positive result, they would bring to them the necessary medication rather than take them for isolation. The exercise, it was explained, was to conduct random checks on the people of the rural areas as part of the design to nib in the bud the spread of the pandemic.
