Black Friday Sales banned in Kano

Companies and marketing outfits using the world Black Friday to promote special sales of their products have been read the riot act by the Kano state Hisbah Board.
Henceforth,such acronyms are to stop as it is against the rules of engagement in the state.
As a result the Kano Hisbah Board have asked those concerned to stop.
This action was contained in a letter to the Manager of Cool FM,Farm Center in Kano(see attached).
The letter signed by Abubakar Muhammad Ali,a principal Executive officer for commander general of Hisbah, requested the organisation to stop calking the day as Black Friday with immediate effect adding that” Hisbah corps will be around for surveillance purposes with a view to avoiding occurrences of any immoral activities as well as maintaining peace,harmony and stability in the state”.
