Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has successfully retired former National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress(APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole from politics permanently.
Wike, who spoke on the heels of an impending official declaration of Governor Godwin Obaseki as the winner of Saturday’s Governorship election in Edo State, said the political career of the ex-APC chair had come to an end.
So far, results from 17 out of 18 local governments announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) shows Obaseki in comfortable lead, having won 12 local governments, while his closest challenger has managed just five local governments.
Tweeting from his official Twitter handle, Wike who was the Chairman of the PDP Campaign Council for the Edo election said, “After this night, we are retiring Oshiomhole permanently.”
