Governor Godwin Obaseki of the PDP has assumed an early lead in the result of 13 local government areas out of the 18 local governments in the state. emerge winner of the Governorship election held on Saturday September 19, 2020.
Results so far announced by INEC from 13 out of the 18 LGAs in Edo state indicate that the PDP Candidate and incumbent Governor is leading with 80,495 votes having polled PDP – 236,735 to APC Ize Iyamu’s APC – 156,240 votes.
